Widgets

Freesoul has 6 widgets areas:

  • Main sidebar: it will be displayed on the blog page and the single posts depending on what you set in Freesoul Settings => Blog
  • Just before footer => it’s the area immediately before the footer, you will see it on pages and posts depending on what you set on every single page and post and in Freesoul Settings => Blog
  • After single post => it’s the area immediately after each single post content, you will see it on single posts depending on what you set in Freesoul Settings => Blog
  • Portfolio sidebar => you will see it on the portfolio page and each single portfolios depending on what you in Freesoul Settings => Portfolio
  • Shop sidebar => if WooCommerce is active, you will see it on the shop page and on every single product depending on what you in Freesoul Settings => WooCommerce
  • After single product => if WooCommerce is active, you will see it on every single product depending on what you set in Freesoul Settings => WooCommerce

If you have a fresh WordPress installation you will have some widgets in the Main Sidebar widgets area.

To manage widgets:

  1. Go to Appearance > Widgets
  2. Move widgets from the left “Available Widgets” block to the sidebar widget area where you want to add the widget
  3. Move the widget that you want to remove, from the sidebar where you don’t want anymore that widget to the left “Available Widgets” block

Attention, when a widget’s area is empty you will not see it anywhere, so if you expect to see  a sidebar on your website and you know that in Freesoul Settings that sidebar is active, and you are asking to your self what is wrong, go to Appearance => Widgets and check that that sidebar is populated.

Watch the video to see an example of what you can do in the widgets areas.

In this example we add the sharing buttons after each single post.
