Information Collection and Use

In the newsletter form, you can provide us your name and email. This information will be sent together with your IP address by the newsletter form processor to Mailchimp, that is our newsletter provider.

MailChimp is a service in the US that we also use to send our newsletters. The use of MailChimp on this website essentially ensures that emails are sent reliably and, above all, that they are more likely not to end up in your spam filter.

We will not store the newsletter form data on our server and in no other archive than the Mailchimp archive located in the MailChimp server. MailChimp after receiving the data from our server will send you an email to give you the possibility to confirm your subscription to our newsletter. After confirming your subscription your data will be stored in the MailChimp server. Clicking on the confirmation link that MailChimp will send you, they will get your IP address and some log data.

Looking at the MailChimp Dashboard and looking on your profile, we will have access to the following data:

  • Your activities regarding our newsletter (newsletter receipt, opening, and clicking)
  • Your Language
  • Your Location
  • Your Favorite email client
  • Your Preferred email format

In any time you will be able to cancel your subscription clicking on the link that MailChimp will include at every newsletter you will receive.

At any moment you can ask us to cancel your subscription also contacting us using our Contact Form, we will do it for you.

At the moment we are employing MailChimp to manage our newsletter.

The data entered during registration will not be transferred to third parties. After registration, MailChimp will send you a confirmation email. Furthermore, MailChimp offers various ways to analyze how the newsletter is opened and used once it is sent, e.g. to how many users an email will be sent, whether emails were rejected and whether users unsubscribed from the list after receiving an email. However, these analyses are performed on groups and we do not use them for individual analysis.
